The launch includes a performance by Bobby Singh on sitar and Vinod Prassana on bansuri flute. Joshua Yeldham’s new publication Surrender: A journal for my daughter will also be launched as part of the exhibition.

This Manly Art Gallery & Museum exhibition focuses on Joshua Yeldham’s creative inspiration and spiritual journey through the Australian landscape, particularly in the Pittwater and the Hawkesbury River regions the artist has known since childhood. The exhibition also looks at his early career as a filmmaker (his first film Frailejón won an Emmy and Oscar Nomination for Best Student Film) then as a desert painter exploring the ideas of solitude, landscape and narrative.

This exhibition is part of the 2014 Manly Arts Festival.
